We rented both the Dune Drifter and Sand Cottage for the weekend. We had a huge group and the two houses were perfect! Plenty of room and great location. Sue at Swede's was great to work with. Thanks for wonderful memories. |

With a large group the two houses are ok because of the attached deck, As a individual rental the Dune Drifter needs some TLC. The picture for the kitchen is not from this house. It does not have a dishwasher and both bathrooms are in bad shape. |

we were here the last weekend in June, we had - word to the wise, if you dont rent BOTH HOUSES AND DONT KNOW WHO YOU WILL BE NEIGHBORING dont rent this place. Our neighbors were loud and messy and eventually were evicte, but not until they pretty much had ruined our trip. If we ever go back it wont be to this particular house. I do think it would be great for a larger group renting both houses. Not a bad place at all just bring your own frying pan, there was one small one was it for cooking! Also there are not any chairs out on the deck for sitting to enjoying the beachview which is awsome. Also if you want to grill bring your own there isn't one there. Again it is still a great place to stay. |

I believe these used to be the Abbott and Costello houses. A few years ago we stayed at the Costello house (on the left in the pic) for a week. The house was in bad shape. To start with the key would not work very well in the corroded door lock. We arrived at night and had no light to be able to get the door open. Almost had to call Swedes just to open the house! The house had no name on it so we were not even sure it was the correct house! The bathtub had a hole in the bottom of it. The shower in the other bathroom was messed up and sprayed everywhere except on you. The bathroom door would not close because the house was obviously unlevel. Our week was not very pleasant at this house. At least we had some very nice neighbors in the adjoining Abbott house. I am assuming they have remodeled since they changed the names of these two houses. They might be a good stay now... |
