I rented the grey goose a couple of years ago and I soon will be staying again. The cabin was so clean and had all the comforts of home. It was so close to the beach. We had a blast last time we stayed there and I know this time will not be any different. It is a very nice cabin.

We rented this cabin a couple of months ago. Beautiful home and close to the beach. There was an "out of order" sign on the dishwasher; extremely disappointing as it was not our intention to wash dishes all weekend. (considering the leftover food on the dishes, the previous renters must have thought so too) Also had to call Swedes to ask for my deposit back. A Swedes rep told me they had been "too busy" to reverse the credit card charges.

Is this house really 3rd row because it looks 2nd? Is there a house directly in front? Is there a lot of traffic?

We have rented Grey Goose several times and impressed with such a nice and clean place. I bring them a "souvenoir" every time to thank them for letting us enjoy some time away from home and work. Looking forward to return in August. Thanks !!

We stayed at the cabin the week of July 21st. I have to say that I think it was well worth the money. It doesn't feel like 3rd row since we could see the beach from the deck just fine. The only thing that we had trouble with was the carpet is so light that we were constantly chasing around the kids to check their feet. All the cleaners were gone and their was no mop sponge so I couldn't clean as well as I wanted-but tried to leave it better then we found it. The tub is slow draining in the bathtub upstairs. But, all and all we had a wonderful time and was amazed at how well furnished and stocked with every ammenity you could want or need. We hope to return next year to this cabin! Thanks for sharing!

This house is a great location and view. We rented a house close by and toured this house while there and will rent this house in the future instead of others in the area.
Will this house be available Oct. 27-31? Would like to rent it during this time.

I posted a comment after our stay the week of August 18th and it has been removed because of the negativity of the cleanliness of the house. What is the point of posting comments on this website if they are going to be deleted?

Swede's does not remove all negative comments. This negative comment was removed because it was found to be untrue. The house was thoroughly inspected.

Is the Grey Goose still there?

By Owner @ Tuesday, September 16, 2008 10:47 PM
The Grey Goose is still standing, tho it is difficult to tell from aerial photographs the extent of the damage.

My family & I stayed in the Grey Goose in July and were looking forward to going back. I have been wondering how it weathered the storm. Great to know it it still there -hopefully it is not beyond repair.

I just wanted to say that I watched in amazement with everyone at the beach that we all love was pounded by Ike. After the storm, I saw on tv that the Grey Goose was still standing by aerial video. My family was so happy, and saddened. I hope the damage was minimal and that you choose to keep renting this cabin. God Bless!
