Anne Willis announces the "Good Readers Make Good Leaders" book program 1243 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Local Anne Willis, owner broker of Swede’s real estate, is proud to announce the “Good Readers Make Good Leaders” book donation program to local school libraries on the Bolivar Peninsula. Anne began this program in 2006 in an effort to ensure that local students were given access to a large variety of reading material in their school libraries. Initially, Anne made monetary donations to the school libraries at Crenshaw and High Island schools. She then asked the school librarians create a “wish list” of books. With every real estate transaction through the agency, Anne uses a portion of the sale proceeds to purchase books from the lists and donates them to the school in the name of the client. She also makes book donations in the name of her business associates and friends.   To date, Anne has donated more than fifty books to Crenshaw Elementary and Middle School and twenty books to High Island High School. Anne’s goal is to donate at least one book for each child in each of the schools within the next three years.
