we stayed here for 1 week in summer '07 and had a nice time. There was a window broken and some lights that didn't work. The grass needed mowing in the yard and over the sand dune. The weeds on the dune came up waist high and my little girls wanted to be carried thru it. The bbq grill was one of those small portable ones--I sort of expected more. Other than those things, the place was really all that we needed.

The "weeds" on the sand dunes are very necessary. It helps to preserve the sand dunes which, protect the peninsula from storms. It is against the law to remove or interfere with it.

The beach where this house is located is FABULOUS!! Quiet, clean and really relaxing. The house is a totally different story. The master bedroom TV was cracked, the master bathroom only produced scalding hot water and the second bathroom's toilet broke! There were 2 broken windows, two windows with no blinds and no window coverings. The stovetop was cracked which prevents you from cooking on the largest burner. The cleaning supplies were a mess, the broom and mop needed to be replaced YEARS ago. The beds were very uncomfortable, although new. I agree with it being difficult to walk the dunes as I saw some creatures I really was not happy to meet, but it wasn't too bad. Overall if this house was given a small makeover it would be the best on Crystal Beach! The beach more than made up for the crappy conditions of the house.
