We stayed here for a week in June... The house is beautiful and the beds were comfortable. If you are looking for a VERY private beach, this is it. There are some things in the water but we marked them with PVC pipes. The sand is great, but the seaweed was terrible. We had to cut a path through it to get to the water. It was a minor inconvenience and possibly the time of the year we went? The view from the balconies and the breeze from the ocean was amazing. The kitchen had just about everything we needed except a good non stick pan and a pizza cutter!

Spent a wonderful four days in this beautiful beach home...Great view, very little seaweed, very few jelly fish, dolphin swimming by, fishing at Rollover pass, shells beyond belief, crabbing the list is endless...thank you for a wonderful trip...I am reading the history of Ike and Gilcrest...how did this beautiful home survive? Or did it? I hope more people find Bolivar and help it to thrive again without it turning but without it turning in to just another tourist area...love the atmosphere on this island.

The house is actually being built next door and is complete. It is beautiful. The new house is actually set back a little, preserving the secluded feeling. This house isthe best deal out there in my opinion

Absolutely loved our time in this home during the first week of August 2011. The house is great the location is even better. We fished everyday and hit the beach everyday. What could be better?

My husband and I, along with my sister and her husband rent a cabin here every year. We always try to get as close to beachfront as our budget will get us ! This cabin seems like a perfect fit. I can't wait to get there and start our vacation in this cabin!!!

My family stayed in Noonie's Sandcastle last Christmas. It was BEAUTIFUL! I just booked another house through Swede's today and was sad Noonie's was already booked for the weekend we're coming. Whoever gets this one is in for a treat! The pictures here don't do it justice. The house is nice and over Christmas, no house was anywhere on the beach for a good 6 - 7 lots each direction. The beach had a TON of shells (maybe that's common everywhere during winter, not sure). Someone commented on roaches. There were absolutely no bugs there. It was very clean. I don't know about the "trash" in the water/beach but it didn't seem to be there when we visited. The only problem we had was a minor one - we couldn't figure out the cable tv/dvd player. Swede's said the house had been burglarized before and maybe the tv wires were damaged/switched. But the tv did work, just some issues. Kitchen is pretty well stocked, not a huge variety of pots/pans, but enough. Very nice beds/furniture, nice porch and picnic table outside. But it's a nice house and very peaceful.
