Loved the location and screened porch from master bedroom. the only downfall is the king size bed is extremely too hard. Would still rent again but would sleep in the other bedroom.

We absolutley loved our stay. The rental was very clean and had everything we could ask for and more. We stayed during the non tourist season and loved having the beach to ourselves. Swedes (Paula) was so very helpful and nice. We definately recommend Akumal. Will stay here again.

We rented the Akumal beachhouse from feb 22 to the 28th. It was as good as described and probably a little bit more. we were really surprised about the 3 tv's and the 2 separate bathrooms. We would certainly consider renting this again.

only 2 minor complaints.

the bbq grill was unusuable. all rusted out.

no phone in the unit. i am one of the few people in the US who doesn't have a cell phone so it was inconvenient to have to go out to make a call.
also I could not get on the internet because of the lack of phone service.

I have stayed here the last few summers and my family really enjoys it. It is a great cabin at a great rate! Clean and well kept. It looks like the owners have even made it nicer since our last stay. We'll be back!

We just stayed there this past weekend and I couldnt wait to come on here and comment! This was our very first "Family Getaway" and I cant explain how wonderful it was. Your cabin was just perfect for us. Two young girls, my finance, and myself. We have agreed that it is the ONLY cabin we will ever rent again. Cozy, clean, nicely decorated, FULLY furnished, and a great rate for a family with a small budget to work with. Thank you so much!

janette, is the entire yard fenced in? i have twin 6-year olds and a fenced in yard would be a great plus. and how is the beach access?

Paula - The front yard is entirely fenced (around 50' x 20') with plenty of room to play but the back yard is not. The beach access is extremely easy and right next to the house. Thanks, Janette

ATV's are not allowed on the beach. This rule is strictly enforced.

yes, this beach is perfect for children of all ages. the water is realatively shallow for a few feet out or about to where the waves break and a little beyond, perfect for the crawlers, sitters, or just toddling. further out you go deeper it gets. i have grown up coming to this beach, even the non swimmers have a great time. the depth of the water at the breaks is about hip deep on an adult and they are not extremely powerful. however as with any beach you should familiarize yourself in regards rip tides and jellyfish, while they are not common they do happen and easily dealt with if prepared.

We loved this house! My boyfriend & I took our 4 kids for the weekend and couldn't have had a better stay. The screened in porch was a luxury as well as the downstairs bathroom & shower. We will stay at this house again and again...thanks for all thlittle things that made our stay so enjoyable.

Would you allow pets with a deposite? they are very house broken and small. It is hard to find a beach house with a fenced yard.

Rented this house many times when it was known as Pepper Sullivan. Loved it then and I would love it now except I see that pets are no longer allowed. I would certainly be willing to pay a deposit if I could bring my small dog.

We own a retail store and want to know if you rent for a three day week - Sunday through Wednesday. We work on Saturdays and would not be able to come down for a traditional weekend. We are interested in the Akumal in late September or early October.

We were scheduled to stay in Akhumal starting Monday, Sept 15, 2008. It was to be our first family vacation since our kids came along. I had been planning this vacation since July and was so excited and couldn't wait for the day to come for our vacation to begin in your beautiful house!!

We had the weekend of Oct. 10, 11, 12 booked to stay in Akumal. I have been looking forward to this vacation for a long time. I had the pictures of the beach house posted on my bulletin board at work with the words above it "Counting Down". Now that is all I will ever see of your wonderful little beach house. Every time I look at the pictures from Crystal Beach it just breaks my heart. I am so sorry...my heart goes out to you. If there is a rebuild Bolivar fund I am definintely in.

We are heartbroken for you. Dan and Marge were coming from Canada to be in your beautiful house and we were all so excited when we were able to get our confirmation that we were in for the end of October...

We stayed there two years ago and loved it! We pray its still in tack and that we can one day return to your wonderful area. We also live right on the ocean so really feel sad for all the storm damage in your area. Us here on the west coast don't have that worry but we have our own fears with eath quakes.

Out of all the homes we rented in Crystal Beach over the years; yours was by far our favorite. I am so sorry for your lost. I pray the GLO will allow you to rebuild.
