We would not recommend anyone to stay. carpet is old and dirty, paint peeling, animals in the attic, appliances pots and pans are dirty and old.

We stayed here a couple of years back and loved it. The house had a beautiful scene from the living room and master bedroom. We loved it. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a full thumb up is that the balcony railing was made from rope and I was too scared to allow my daughter to go out there and was very antsy about my own personal safety on that balcony.

We stayed here summer 2007. It was awful. Would not recommend it. Cabin is old and dirty. Living room furniture is terrible. AC didn't work properly. It was HOT and HUMID in the cabin. Carpet is yucky! This cabin should not be rented until major TLC is done.

THIS COULD BE A VERY NICE CABIN...NEED ATTENTION TO CARPET, FURNITURE AND KITCHEN APPLIANCES, POTS AND PANS...THE LOCATION IS GREAT...JUST NEEDS UPDATING. WE WERE AFRAID TO USE THE FIREPLACE, SINCE OTHER THINGS DIDN'T WORK...

We stayed July 4th weekend and it was wonderful. They thing that bothered me was the sliding glass doors had been screwed shut, but there was a side door to get to the deck. The stove was a little hard to operate, but other than that is was great. The new furniture and carpet made a big different. We hope to stay again sometime next year.

Stayed here before and thought it was a great house except for the furniture and carpet. I notice that this has been replaced. Has the sliding door been fixed? It is great to get the breeze in from the coast.

We've stayed in Dolphin's Play for many years now. It used to be the perfect setup for a family of four or five, but was allowed to deteriorate. Finally, this year they've bought new furniture and carpet for the living room. This will help but there are other things that continue needing repair.
The sliding glass doors need to be repaired so they'll open to the Gulf. The deck needs to be repaired so the boards don't leave splinters, and the railing, which has been wire for many years, was broke at Spring Break. Put up some wood railing, please.
The televisions are incredibly old and don't work, and the kitchen stove hasn't worked for years.
This could be an awesome house, once again, with a little more investment.

We were the last renters to stay here before Ike. We left on Sept 11 (Thurs) & are thankful we got out in time.

I wanted the owners to know that we took pictures of all the rooms in this house. I will send them to you if you need them for insurance purposes. We always take pictures of where we are staying to keep a log of where we might want to say again.

Dophin's Play was a good place to stay. We are sad about all that has happen on the peninsula. I hope it can be rebuilt.
