Great House
This is a great house to rent. Cargo lift opens up in the house. Great location on the beach. If anything needs to be fixed, just let Swedes know & it's done.
The chairs for the table are not very comfortable however.

A Dream Come True
To wake up on the beach with the sounds of waves just outside the bedroom double doors and to be able to walk out onto the beach is the perfect dream come true for me! Ashton Manor is it , and we loved sitting around the large table and deck chairs to discuss our day’s’ activities or just to have morning coffee. Swede’s people were wonderful and made our visit easy !
The only reason for one 4* is they don’t provide toilet paper, bath towels and bedding. That’s a lot extra packing and the price does not match the cost for this extra convenience/inconvenience.

Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay. We love the beach life. There were a couple of minor issues which we didn’t expect in a luxury rental. We worked around them and had a good family vacation. I would recommend this property to others.

We loved the location, the views were excellent and starting and ending the day on the deck was wonderful. The walkover to the beach was a nice amenity. The kitchen was well stocked with various pots and pans.
What we didn’t like is it wasn’t as clean as it could have been and to pay extra for the linens and to still have to make the beds was a surprise/disappointment.

We loved the location and easy access to beach. The beach house is beautiful! We loved the 3 full baths, 4 bedrooms, wrap around porch and outdoor shower. I loved sitting on the porch and watching the sunrise and sunset. It was perfect for us. What we didn't like was the linens situation. The comforters were all filthy and the pillows were stained and nasty as well. I didn't like that we paid extra for the sheets and towels and still had to sleep in a dirty bed. We rent property in Galveston area every summer and usually stay at Pointe West and haven't had this problem in the past. We didn't like that the comforters and pillows were not dirty and we had to make the beds.

Best of the Best
Right on the water. Beautiful views, large spacious rooms, and a Keurig coffee maker. Be still my heart. Our family had the best vacation, collecting shells, swimming, fishing, and a few trips Galveston. We ate out at local venue and cooked our favorites. Nicely set up kitchen. Bedrooms were comfortable and roomy. The elevator was a lifesaver !
We were a large group varying in interests and ages. There was so much to do for all of us. Highly recommend !

Ashton Manor Bolivar Peninsula
This is a lovely home with views of the gulf from kitchen, dining room and living area, as well as, all three major rooms on second level! Definitely on the more quiet west end of Crystal Beach. Cargo lift was inside of house - definite plus!! Private walkover directly to beach was super! TV and Internet reception was good with a lot of sports programming available (Astros, NBA playoffs, etc.) The bunk-bed room was stuffy, but do-able for the kids with the fan provided. We had an issue with back door not locking, but Swedes maintenance was there within a couple of hours after call. (Kids wished they had a TV in their room for times when beach was too hot to be out. Adults wished the TV was bigger over the fireplace but we WERE at the beach - so more wishes than complaints.) Furnishings were beautiful. House was clean and mattress pads and pillows looked great! We have rented for 40+ years and this was at the top of our list! We had a grand time and will definitely try to be back!

Out with the old, in with the new
This is a wonderful house for our group of 70-91 year-old ladies to bring in the new year. We love it’s beachfront location that enables us to see all the fireworks up and down the beach, that its lift opens directly into the home so that we’re not still dragging our gear across the deck, that it has a first floor bedroom for our most senior citizen, that it has a fireplace for chilly beach evenings, that its furniture has some recliners in it, that its kitchen is so well-stocked with pots and pans and utensils for us to prepare our New Year’s Day meal, and that it is still close to restaurants for the nights we don’t cook. What a great place! We highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful time together, 6 girlfriends getting together for our annual beach trip.
This was the 2nd time we've leased this home. It is
a beautiful home. The deck furniture really needs to be looked at closely. It was clean upon arrival and we loved that the cargo lift opens into the house.
Will lease this again for next years beach trip.

Seven times in eight years
We love the house, the amenities and the location. We had afew minor issues this time such as a chirping smoke detector right before bedtime, numerous burned out lights andstained bedding. Swedes maintenance guy was very helpful resolving these issues quickly.
He also had to bring us different keys for entry as the check in agent gave us the wrong keys.

SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We loved the house, however they had to move us from one home that was horrible to this one. So cannot blame them for the house not being ready for guests. After settling in we had a blast. Need a larger tv in the main room and some of the furniture could be updated. Definitely more dishes! The location could not have been better and the walkway over the dunes to beach was fantastic.

Wonderful Family Vacation
This was the perfect house for our recent family vacation. The location cannot be beat. Swedes was very accommodating and extremely ease to work with. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the grill and they were so quick to respond and bring us a new one. We were amazed. The house has everything you need for a fun beach vacation. The front deck was the favorite part of the house. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. We had everything we needed and more. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us. We loved it.
