Amazing Grace

We have been coming to Chrystal Beach for more than 15 years. Amazing Grace fits our family the best. The home was in good shape. The kids love the outdoor space as well but this year quite a few stickers in the grass...ouch! We did have a small issue with one of the kitchen cabinets and reported it after we left. The lift didn't work when we first arrived but was promptly taken care of by your friendly staff.

Ever since Hurricane Ike took our beach cabin, we have rented cabins most summers. This cabin checked all of the boxes...beachfront, plenty of rooms and bathrooms, great views, easy access, and pet friendly. As with most rentals, we had a slight maintenance issue. I called Swedes and within just an hour or so, the maintenance guy was there to fix the issue. I was concerned about being right next to a beach access site, but honestly, it was kind of entertaining watching all of the comings and goings. I highly recommend this cabin. If not this specific cabin, I highly recommend renting with Swede's.

We head to CB every year in October and over the years have stayed in many different homes. As our family grows we are challenged to find something that will work. Amazing Grace was perfect! Our little ones loved the bunkbeds shaped like ships and a submarine! Only drawback if there was one was the traffic on the beach since the beach access was right next to the property.

Very spacious. Lots of room for everyone.
Bathrooms clean.
Property is well maintained. Not brand new but kept up. Some ocean smells in closets but air freshener took it out.
Provided Linens clean and enough towels for everyone. Only 2 potholders and I Kitchen towel. Make sure you bring paper towels and potholders if you cook a lot
Laundry room was welcome.
2 trash pic ups a week. Yeah!
Kitchen well stocked with utensils and equipment. Always bring any special tool (slow cooker, special blender, etc.) you need just in case. Two refrigerators a real treat.
Kids loved the bunk beds and having all of them together. Cousins having fun.
Being right on the beach was fun. Weather terrible but covered porch and large picture windows made it fun. Watching fogs and rain come on shore.
Grill works. Easy open parking under house. Lots of outdoor lights.
Rent the elevator! It is well worth the extra.

The house was great for our family! Very clean, very close to the beach - lots of beds! Wish the Lift had been working, which is why we chose this house! A few things needed attention which I called and let Swedes know.

We all LOVED our stay in this gorgeously decorated home! With seven bedrooms it sleeps 14 adults in six bedrooms and up to 11 kids in the bunk room. The mattresses and bedding are all very comfortable. The bedroom configurations are two king bedrooms downstairs separated by a Jack and Jill bath and one king bedroom and one bedroom with a queen bed and double bed which share a hall bath. Upstairs are two master bedrooms with their own bathrooms and the bunk room with its own bathroom plus the laundry room.
The kitchen area is large with two refrigerators and a pantry. Sitting at the long table for at least twelve plus five at the kitchen bar and five at the bar behind the seating area. The outside deck is large with lots of chairs and two picnic tables. The view is unsurpassed. You are even closer than other front row homes. Expect a crowd with lots of vehicles on weekend days in the summer as this house is located in a popular spot along Crystal Beach, but during the week it is not as crowded. To help you pack, there is at least one hairdryer, a blender and a million coffee filters so you don’t have to bring those things. If you expect to do much cooking, I would recommend you bring your own nonstick skillet as their cookware is pretty tired. The large gas range is nice but probably needs to be professionally cleaned as often the igniter button does not work and the burners burn unevenly. Also the lift that was mentioned in some of the other reviews was not operational during our stay.
I would definitely recommend you book this house for your next family vacation. You will not be disappointed. Also wanted to give a shout out to Swede’s Real Estate as they were very easy to deal with, extremely quick to respond to a maintenance issue and also went above and beyond when one of my family member’s car’s battery was dead and they almost missed their flight.
