Buckley's Beach

This was the second time to stay at Buckley's Beach, and we really like the location. My only complaint is it could have been cleaner, and the supplies like dish soap and toilet tissue needed to be better supplied.

It was a bit dated, but a nice house. Close walk to the beach. It definitely needs a cleaning overhaul! Having white cotton couches in that house I think is a terrible idea. You can see every stain from pets, food or otherwise on them. We actually put down our towels and sat on them instead of sitting directly on the couch. The kitchen, utensils, dishes, pots, etc. need to be gone through. There are some pretty crusty items in there along with random spices from 2022. oh and the most important there was no bottle opener!ugggh!

We rented Buckleys Beach House for my son’s birthday weekend. This house was incredible!! This is our new spot when visiting Bolivar. The staff at the real estate office was great, the location of the house was great, the house had everything we needed. LOVED LOVED LOVED this mini vacation!

Location of this house was perfect for beach access and views. House is spacious and overall stay was great.
ONE drawback: The cloth furniture has been pretty abused - We did have to use coverings due to pet hair and deep stains. Swede's did respond immediatedly but they were unable to do anything other than give us extra sheets to cover the sofas.

The booking experience was easy. The challenge was making arrangements to get access to the property.
We were told that there were no lock boxes to retrieve the key at the property. Someone from the management co called to see when we would be arriving and I told them. They had to get special permission to use the lock box at their office. This was granted, after about 10 minutes. Waiting for the ferry for about an hour, after a day of traveling, then having to drive an extra 10 minutes or so each way(that itself wasn't that terrible), just added to our already long day. We got in and things were nice and clean. Had to 1st make the beds, so we could get some rest. Stocked with plenty of plates and cups and accessories, however, no dish soap or garbage bags. We wer told that we must bring our own paper products (Toilet paper/Paper towels, etc and soap for washing ourselves). Oh, we had to stop at the store to grab these supplies, before checking in.
Practically on the beach, the house was nice, clean and looked fresh. The kitchen faucet was pretty loose, so it flopped around a bit. The dishwasher wasn't fastened to the counter.
All in all, nice place. Just make sure you have your supplies.

We had a great time at Buckely’s Beach House. It had all the amenities we needed for our small family. It had a decent view from inside the home and on the deck and conveniently close to the beach.
