Large comfortable home. Second refrigerator did not work for the week we were there. Swedes did not send someone to repair it.

Location of the house is perfect with great views. Large house with plenty of space. There are a few things in the description of this property that I feel are misleading and dishonest. Firstly, it is not a true six bedroom. It’s five bedrooms with the 6th open bedroom space.. Sixth area with bunkbeds does not have a door, closet or a dresser. So for someone having a family expecting to stay in that room, they have no privacy to even change their clothes or sleep at night. Listing states two refrigerators as the house sleeps 30. We got there and one refrigerator was not in operation. Maintenance told me it had been that way for months and I was not notified due to my trip. Therefore, we had lots of things we could not fit in the one refrigerator that didn’t even have an icemaker. One of the bunk rooms they forgot to mention actually has the washer and dryer in the room with it. The room sleeps eight people, but if you need to do laundry, you would have to walk all the way through the room to the back closet to wash any laundry. Some little things that bothered me were the fact that a couple of the rooms didn’t even have a closet. Some of the rooms that had a closet didn’t even have a rod to hang your clothes. One bathroom didn’t have a counter so we had to keep our personal items on the commode. There was nowhere in the room to even store your clean towels or dirty towels as there were no hooks on walls or doors.. The outside shower was also not working. I requested maintenance to come and fix that on our first morning. To my knowledge they never showed. So at the end of the evening when we came in to shower and rinse off before taking all the sand upstairs, my father had to fix the shower himself. Other small things like furniture that could’ve been cleaned better,one of the chairs in the dining room was broken stuff that I could’ve overlooked, but there was just too many things that added up. Overall beautiful. The house has not been cleaned prior to our arrival however when I called Swede’s they promptly sent a cleaning crew.

We had a great time, other than the heat. The house was nice and roomy. The ONLY complaints was the horrible animal pee smell in the stairway and the dated and stained upstairs furniture. I understand this is pet friendly, but for those of us whose pet is TRULY trained, it was pretty rough having to smell that. I did call Swedes and they came almost immediately to spray the carpet down with febreeze, left 3 full bottles, and returned with refills for the plug-ins. My biggest issue with this is that we paid a 125 pet why doesn't the owner use that money to clean the carpet? I feel like that was a rip off, as we made sure our pet was clean and potty trained. oh, and the pool table could REALLY use some new sticks, as only 2 are not broken, and one of those basically doesn't have a tip on it. Did see about 4-5 more sticks that were all broken. The lot out front was nice for the kids to play in. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Probably wouldn't stay here again, unless updated and cleaned, but will definitely rent from Swedes again!! PS...also could use a pet gate for the stairs, especially since the live in, very close neighbors have 7 boxers that don't like other animals.

Perfect home to celebrate our 50th anniversary with family and friends. Beds were comfy and we were able to sleep many. House was perfect for a catered dinner. The view was amazing.

We had a great time! Every year a group of our friends get together at Crystal Beach right before school is out for an extended weekend.
We’ve been using Swedes for 15 years. They make the process very simple. We have tried Vrbo’s once or twice.
But those have all been lesser experiences. This particular home was awesome! Great lay out! Great view! All of the rooms are well appointed. The home is very well maintained and had no trouble accommodating our group of 17. This year, it was my turn to reserve the beach house and everyone in the group was very impressed with this house. I would definitely stay here again.
