Melody of the Sea

This was my second stay at Melody of the Sea, and unfortunately it was not as satisfactory as my previous stay in 2025. Upon arrival the upstairs hallway floor was soaked due to a clogged AC drain, and water was coming down through the AC filter vent. The wet carpet was in both upstairs bedrooms, and the ceiling in one bedroom was stained and showing signs of damage. A repair man came after I informed the office and the drain was cleared. However, the worked noted that it was not his responsiblity to provide a wet vaccuum or fans to help dry the carpet. We did manage to obtain a small wet vac from a local friend, then later 2 box fans from another maintenance worker. The carpet remained wet our entire 5-day stay. Soon after this, one of the ACs stopped working and another service call was needed to get it repaired. Other signs of less than adequate maintence were found in the downstairs toilet where the flush handle routinely came away from the tank, the toilet paper roll dropped when a roll was placed on it. Otherwise, the rental was sufficient for our relatively small group. I did note that in contrast to my stay in 2025, there was a "for sale" sign on the property indicating that it might not remain a rental house.

The property could had cleaner restroom (the tubs) and bedding on the beds on the first floor..Other than these things the house was accommodations were great for family gatherings..

Everything is just as described, very much enjoyed the stay. Gave 4 stars on the general condition only because the jacuzzi tub in the second floor bathroom did not work, but spent most of the time on the beach anyway. I would definitely book another stay at this property.

Stayed at this house and it fit all 16 of us with plenty of space. Could use some updated dishes and possibly crockpot. Enjoyed the visit very much and would stay again!

Melody of the Sea is a great vacation home very close to one of our favorite beach spots. This was a perfect place for our extended family of 10 to get together over a weekend. The layout of the bedrooms and baths fit our group well. The only issue we had was that the house was not very clean when we arrived. Visible dirt on the floor perimeter and window sills, as well as dead bugs. Also there is an ant problem, as we had them crawling on rugs and several other locations throughout the house. I notified management of the problem and they did offer to send someone out to clean and spray for the ants. I would rent this property again and hope that there will be more attention to cleanliness in the future.

It was very clean when arrived, didn’t have no problems out of anybody, the communication was great, I would come back and stay, I recommend this property to anybody! I really enjoyed it!

The overall stay at this house was perfectly fine. However we are people who take things as they come. while staying here the upstairs toilet overflowed because tank chain somehow did not allow the plug to stop the water. once we stopped the flow it was several minutes before the water came through the ceiling in the kitchen. we dealt with it, cleaned it up and informed management. it was late so no response til early AM. we understand that beach houses have very sensitive toilets so we did our best with 13 people and 1 bathroom which overflowed twice during the stay. but we dealt. The house itself is lovely and pretty clean. There are places with water damage , but again it’s to be expected with beach properties. I wish more cleaners were available specifically sanitizers since our problems involved toilet water. But other than that....The overall feel and condition of the home is very cozy, visually pleasing and in good sturdy condition. The real estate office was so nice, kind, helpful and understanding. The maintenance men who came out were also nice, quick and very respectful. We would use this property again.
